Chapter 1

This past summer has been the worst summer of my life. It all started when I got home from school ready to start summer. I had just finished my 8th grade year and I was excited to finally be in High School. When I walked in I was starting to do my normal routine: dropping my backpack by the door, taking my shoes off where I was standing, get something to snack on, and then stay in my room until dinner time. That day however was different. Just as I was taking my shoes off my brother Kyle told me to keep my shoes on and follow him. I had asked him what was going on and he didn’t answer me. When we got to his car he opened the door for me, which he never does unless it’s a special occasion, so I thought he was going to take me somewhere because my birthday was going to be in five days. He started the engine and still didn’t say  anything to me. About two minutes later I asked him what was going on. He finally told me and I wish I never asked in the first place.
