Heartbreak

Heartbreak

A Poem by Savage (Xan)

"Heartstrings slowly severing due to tensions, Loneliness plaguing the mind, you sit there in silence as a mix of emotions crash into your psyche. Your words twist until you start believing lies. Trying your best to block it out, your old pal anxiety starts kicking at the door of your mind. Teeth begin grinding against each other in a deadly mix of fear and anger. You don't know what to do, why you put yourself through this... One second you feel trapped, the next you feel like giving up, if you're lucky you get that split second of joy and happiness, then you fall silent wishing you could just ignore it all...but the worst part is...they get louder and louder each moment that passes by when you're trying to shut them out...they never stop until you give in.."

Powerful use of emotions and thoughts in the poetry. The honest thoughts made the reader feel the pain and the lost. I liked the flow of thoughts leading to unwanted ending. Thank you for sharing the excellent poetry.
