Family Is...

Mom this goes out there for you, because of a promise I made.

Mom I could say I love you but that is not enough so instead I wrote this to show my love instead. Mom you bring strength to this family and also a lot of change but that is a good thing, I believe. I think of the times you were there with me and it brings tears to my eyes. All those times I was in the hospital with a needle in my arms you stayed there with me and assured me it was okay. I remember that time I fractured my wrist and you were there to care for me. The time I fell through glass you bandaged me up. All those times you were there for me brought tears to my dark brown eyes. So here is one of my presents to you, no matter how bad I act or how big of a brat I be, I will be there for you like you were there for me. Three words do not describe what you mean to me, you are a friendly face, a parent, one of my best friends and I love you.

A family is more special than diamonds or jewels. Or money or treasures galore. Its power, warmth, and comfort, is some that is not sold in stores. You share love with your family. They are people around you that care. And every day from morning to night, your family will always be there.

Grasping into thin air,

We reach but cannot touch

Things we wish would go away

Things that hurt too much

Why do we face such tough times

While others go unscathed

Where do we find shelter

When it rains on our parade

Life will give us rose

But every petal falls

Leaving joy and sadness

From the memories we recall
