Wait in the Rain...

Wait in the Rain...

A Poem by RedRozeNinja13

I waited for you today,

But you left me in the rain.

I’m used to this disappointment,

I’m used to you forgetting-

Forgetting how much I care.

I wait in the rain,

As it washes away,

all the frustrations,

The pain that you left.

So I wait, for you

And I love, for you

And I’ll stand, for you

Even when you don’t want me to.

Cuz I’d lie, for you

And I’d die, for you

I’ll speak, for you

When you’re too weak to stand.

Cuz there Isn’t anybody else,

That feels the way I do.

No there isn’t anybody else,

Who’s gonna hold you like I am now.

And there’s not a soul out there-

that’s gonna fight your fears,

and hold you close,

wipe away those tears,

and shield you from those hurtful blows.

I’m not a stranger anymore,

And you don’t have to be afraid.

I’m not a shadow from the dark,

I’m not another monster from the shade.

But you don’t seem to see that.

You don’t seem to care about that.

So maybe today,

Is the day I walk away-

The day I let you wait in the rain...

Let it speak to you and open your eyes,

wash away your bone dry heart,

your careless ways,

the hurt you make.

Let the rain listen to you,

and let yourself just simply-

Wait in the Rain.

Yea not fun. Been not picked up because they forgot. I did that once to my 11 year old son but it wasn't raining. I forgot to pick him up at school. I was at work. Now 15 years later I apologize to him for it. He just laughs now. I have a soft heart.
Good write.
I like the spacing too.

Revenge through love.
You expected him to "Wait in the Rain" when he left you in the rain.

Wow this is just brilliant, really, absolutley fabolous. Emotional and heartfelt. Loved it, somehow reminded me of "Grenade" by Bruno Mars.
Anyways well done :)

Whoa...emotion-filled start to finish, expressing so much heartfelt pain without the harsh screaming "feel" ... hard to do.
I thoroughly enjoyed reading this...a favorite now.

Thanks for sharing
