Demons

Our demons creep up into our souls,
Leaking into every crevice they can find,
Hoping to find a way into you,
To infinitely destroy you,
Seeking ways into your mouth,
To turn your loved ones away,
Seeping out your ears,
Down your neck for everyone to see,
As they slide down your flesh,
They reach the places no one can find,
They leave their cruel harsh paths,
That now only you can see,
They ease down your fingers to splash onto the floor,
To leave little memories of where you've laid down before,
To cry about a man you barely even knew,
Or maybe it was that time you lost a friend,
No one else can see them,
They were made just for you,
Little piles of ooze just waiting for you to see,
To send you spiralling down,
So the demons can take control,
They know you so well now,
You think they are you.

This is how it feels when a person is under attack of depression or brokenness... The inner demons takes charge of everything, they destroy the things we love, the places in which we find happiness and the people who love us... They may not come out of our mind or body physically but they make us their servant and orders us to do whatever they want... A very thoughtful write, a free verse style of poetry which I believe gave you an excellent opportunity to inject more thoughts... You have done an excellent job to write this...
