In Memoriam

In Memoriam

A Poem by Dark Priestess
"

Written for someone who passed away spiritually, but who lives physically

"

IN MEMORIAM

The phoenix rises from the darkness…. and explodes in joy

as deception dies in the fires of loss

damned to an eternal tomb

Of closed doors and angry purpose

of self-destruction and self-deceit

in an empty world of chaos and hatred

fearing the light that the darkness brings

Oh, that a mortal can exist

in a world of blind illusion

only to die to the unknown secrets of old

death of self and creation of life

are only remembered

but exist no more

'fearing the light that the darkness brings' is a fine line.
