PALE HORSEMAN OF THE NIGHTA Poem by Dark PriestessThoughts on Death............Macabre
forbidden profile The
rider on the pale horse comes Ominous
threat in the dawn of mankind Reaping
human lives………
Great
Prince, come not near Let
us not die just yet Let
us live our imperfect lives Forever
seeking that which purifies Amidst
chaotic reign
Each
second of every day Is
weighed carefully…. Each
minute seems but the last one left Before
the trumpet calls And
the pale rider stakes his claim
There's
an eclipse of the sun And
no light left The
moon is a ball of blood The
birds have fled, the night is still And
the clock ticks……. Ominously
On
the horizon is a black-clad horseman And
the distance closes in As
day after day and night after night We
wait……
For
the robber of our dreams The
assassin of life For
the prince of darkness And
foe of all creation And
through it all…. We wait….. For
the toll of the bell As
the clock ticks………. Ominously © 2017 Dark Priestess
