NIGHT SKY

Looking at the stars on a dark cloudless night

Cool black plains of infinite distance

Stretching mile upon endless mile

Shimmering with sparkling, glittering stars

Like a fairy world far far above

Look up into those starry depths, child

Into that vast unknown

Losing yourself in the breath-taking sight

That fuses mind and soul alike

 

Mysterious, haunting, glittering world

What secrets do you claim to hold?

Alien territory, unknown land

Hypnotizing, beckoning, imprisoning us

 

Silvery pinpoints of glittering light

Flash magically

Like tiny, silver fairy ships

On a coal-black peaceful sea

 

Releasing our souls from this chaotic world

Believing we soar above

Into a silver enchanted world

Stretching…

Mile upon infinite mile

Lovely job. Very calming an inspiring also to think of the great vastness beyond and those secrets. And yes it puts our mad world into perspective. Oddly, I felt as if I was looking down on the sky and the stars, prob because of how you described them as a plain.
