SAND AND SEAA Poem by Dark PriestessWritten after an early morning visit to the beach..... at 6 amStretching Mile
upon infinite mile Poking
curious fingers between rocks Immersing
the already damp sand Lifting
empty tins and coconut shells Pieces
of paper and bits of junk Rocking
to a silent symphony….. between sand and sea
Empty
shells echo distant music Sounds
of faraway, unreachable….. Calm
tranquility versus angry passion Vying
to overcome….. Rays
of sunshine sparkle on water Creating
golden flashes of flickering light White-crested
rollers collapse on the sand Only
to return again and again In
their quest for victory
