Personified

Personified

A Poem by Sastina
"

A poem, personifying various elements of the world and how they relate to myself.

"
I have spoken with the Wind, and I have spoken with the Earth, both have validated all that life is worth. I have held the hand of Fire, and conspired with my Fate, and both have told me that it's never too late. I have kissed the cheek of Wisdom, and stopped to look at Time, they have shown me how to make a rhyme. I have seen the face of Death, and lost more from Life, telling me I'll never be the perfect wife. I have talked to the Goddess, and spoken with the Crone, both reminding me I'll never be alone. I have fondly greeted Love, and quickly dismissed Hate, they both simply whispered one word- "Wait." I can speak to Water, and drink too much Wine, turning out of both just fine. I can make a Word, and write a Sentence, but never have I mastered the art of repentance. I see, I think, I feel, I know each and all of these as I grow. Dark and light intermingle in the void I create. All that's left to do is sit, and wait.
