The Brave and The Coureagous

This poem was written on May 30, 2016 and it talks about how we should honor those who've sacrificed their lives so that our country could be independent and free.

To those who’ve sacrificed so much
So we may be free
This country will never forget your names
Where there’s a will, there’s a way
So let us band together In honor of the brave and courageous,
Those who fight for a better cause
Will make our nation proud and mighty,
To you who sacrifice your lives
On the battlefront
To see that our country stays independent
May the rest of us give you thanks
You bare a great sense of proud
But also a burden of pain
You’ve seen your fellow comrades die
You may come home with PTSD
And your view on the world has changed
Here’s to you
The brave and the courageous
Who lay down their lives each and every day
So we may be anew
So let’s band together
And remember those who are out on the battlefront
And have died trying to keep this country safe
Let’s remember those who’ve come home
And their lives have turned upside down
So here’s to you all who’ve sacrificed so much
To keep our country safe and independent.
