Where the Wildflowers GrowA Poem by Katie LynnSometimes we all have a secret place we go to.
There's a place hidden far away,
Stolen from mortal eyes, Where the wildflowers dance and sway, With the sweet butterflies. The flowers glow the purest hues, Untouched by force or man, Every kind, roses or rues, Grow on this fertile land. This great meadow shines bright with life, Things unknown to exist, It's never known a single strife, Its beauty, angel-kissed. The Gods so guard it jealously, Eyes upon land so rare, While mortal man lives carelessly, Ignorant, unaware. It's been hidden from human sight, So it will never die, A pure clearing, a field of light, Lives in on in the firefly. © 2016 Katie LynnAuthor's Note
