Rainbow

Rainbow

A Poem by Katie Lynn
"

Everyone is blind, Only I can see, This impossible rainbow Staring back at me.

"

Why does the colorful rainbow
Shine so clear, bold, and bright?
It plays among the fluffy clouds,
With a glorious light.

Across the land and back again,
You'd search but never see,
This grand and beautiful rainbow,
Just staring back at me.

Its colors are so elegant,
Splashed daintily across,
A vast and open canvas sky,
It leaves me at a loss.

I cannot find those just right words,
They escape easily,
That can describe the perfect sight,
Stretched out in front of me.

No one can see this great rainbow,
They'd never have a clue,
This perfect sight in front of me,
To put simply: Is you.

Katie Lynn
This could be a comparison for a male or female partner I think, but it's a good way to describe the feeling of love for someone, romantic or otherwise.

Wow! I never thought of myself as a rainbow before. A thunder cloud perhaps, but never a rainbow! lol Yet another nice poem.
