Where the Rain FallsA Poem by Katie LynnWhen I am in debt to the world for merely existing, I repay it by taking a moment to appreciate that which most take for granted.
I hide away inside the glen
Where the rain is falling. I close my eyes and listen to Birds that keep on calling. Raindrops trickle softly, slowly, Over the greenest leaves. I'm trapped within a grand splendor Under the forest eaves. Springing grass underneath my feet Rebounds after each step, Burdened only a moment long, Weaving a glossy rep. My breath is heavy on the air, It is so warm and wet. This peaceful realm is so divine, I pay my mortal debt. What is the purpose of this place, If not to lure one in? Standing here in blissful repose, I now repay my sin. © 2016 Katie LynnAuthor's Note
