Just Another Love Letter

Tonight we dine on love divine,
Get drunk on lust that tastes of wine,
But when the dawn breaks and turns to day,
Will you leave me? Or will you stay?

I must know my love, for you see:
My heart of gold I give to thee.
Your money’s not good here, only your heart
You’ve got to be true for this love to start.

I cannot promise you a thing but love,
Devotion, loyalty, all things from above..
But remember this at the end of the day,
I’ll never leave or forsake you..


By your side, forever, I will stay.

Very beautiful.. you know I am not very good at Haiku.. I mean that I cannot understand it very well.. so right now I am simply reading and trying to feel all elements which are there. But I can understand This poem very well...Beautiful..

Although, this poem is not a haiku. However, I have several haikus on my site.
Haikus are three line poems which use no rhyme scheme, but tell of a present moment or scene. The use of a 5, 7, 5 syllable scheme completes it.
This poem is more of a traditional form.
