A Love In AutumnA Poem by Stacy PurvisLeaves turn to red, gold and brown The crisp wind blowing in my hair Trees sway as they’re blown around Hear my song so sweet in the air
Thoughts of you dance in my head As I busy myself through the day Thoughts of us laying on my bed I Think of us laughing as we play
I want to trust these feelings I have Let you into my heart and soul Love heals wounds like a spiritual salve You and I together make us whole
Walk with me through a vibrant park This love begins with just one spark
We share this love of autumn Of music, faith, life and verse Forever, I promise from the bottom Of my heart, across the universe
To always love you and be faithful True to you I shall continually be For us, I shall always be grateful Like the turning of leaves on the tree
Time may pass and years go by The tree as a reminder of you and me Shall stand tall for the passerby Take my hand and make a memory
Love grows strong in the autumn wind Joining of our two souls, my friend. © 2018 Stacy PurvisReviews
