Forevermore

Forevermore

A Poem by Stacy Purvis

Your heart beckons me to another time and place,
A reminder of romance, of love, and a tender embrace.
And I, captured like a moth to a flame, am paralyzed by your Light.
Enraptured in your essence, I give up without a fight.
I gaze lovingly upon your reflection and see,
The very intimate and beautiful parts of me.
To which my heart dances with yours forevermore,
So shall we dance ’til the early light of a days new morn.

My heart fluttered to read this, such a great poem. Remembrance of those beautiful feelings, the time of pure joy and infatuation.

What affection you show here! I love the fluidity of the lines, how each infuses into the other. This should win a prize in my book. Remarkable writing.

Wow, I love the imagery. The last line is incredibly sweet in a naive and vulnerable way. Reminds me of young love.

Love is in the air, Spring is here.. passionate words drift the world to make music for all to hear!

Beautiful poetry, Anastatia, you create such lovely phrases, 'I gaze lovingly upon your reflection and see, - The very intimate and beautiful parts of me. '

What more can a woman say to carry her lover's heart safe forever more!

I love the way this line shows the destruction love can bring upon ourselves. This piece is definitely one of my favorites I've read. Amazing job!

Old places and memories. They can sneak-up on us. I liked the honest and thoughts in the words. Thank you Anastasia for sharing the amazing poetry.

I really enjoy your writing style. Particularly when you write more than three phrases *lol*. Great read!

A poem that can bring you back , stop you in your tracks and make you feel what you felt decades ago to the point you feel it in the now, is a good poem.
