BeautyA Poem by Stacy PurvisMy eyes gaze upon your beauty Soft and glowing with splendor Such as none I have seen before Like a moth to a flame I am drawn Captivated, over-stimulated Speechless, dumb My mind is running and searching For a million different things to say Before I lose the chance and you Walk away..forever and I can’t Form the words, my mouth, My tongue is frozen in time And my hands begin to shake Whilst I imagine yours in mine You walk away and it occurs to me That while others see your flesh and
bone I have only seen what I have known The beauty I see with my inner eye Is that of your heart, your soul, your
mind.
