Winter Ice

Winter Ice

A Poem by Saska Kitocha

I see winter,

She’s a’ riding on my back

Like the galloping mare.

Her cabin of love,

Burnt right ‘round me.

I’m not lost

but I’ll never be found.

Run, run , run away,

farther the better,

I’m sheer ice.

Bleed.

Black and Blue,

Chilling aqua in the snow

Rocky knots in the spine

Bubbling up

Though red and

Blind.

Winter, I watch thee,

Gallop along

The frozen pathways

Walking all over me.

You be the darkness,

The cold-one

Sharp in my soul.

Steal the hinder

Of my heart.

Bitter pulp of purple,

Rotting in the Green

Of my Iris.

Missy Winter,

You catch me

And see the love of sight.

The first sight

And you stole my

Soul.
