Midnight's Dream

Midnight's Dream

A Poem by Riya.G30
"

Unrequited love..

"

Frozen I stood the day I saw you
A feeling so old yet new,
Thought I found my last ray of hope
So much that my heart wanted to elope.

Dreams long forgotten came alive
Smile that faded became so bright,
Morose eyes in pain; shined, sparkled
And were no more in vain.

Healing to my aches and agony you became
Never thought I would see the light again,
Love afresh came my way I believed;
But alas, it was never meant to be.

Foolish was I to fall the second time
Should have known that love was never mine,
An illusion which blurred my sight,
A beautiful dream of midnight.
