Let me be...

A poem about trying to be yourself and not what others want you to be...

Cries of anguish,
Resounding in my head,
From the moment I wake,
Til the time I go to bed.

When will I reach the point,
That I break,
Just how much more,
Can I possibly take.

My tears of sorrow,
Could fill a sea,
An unimaginable force making me,
Into someone I was not meant to be.

But I need the strength,
To break free,
To finally be,
Who I want to be.
