Of Heart

Of Heart

A Poem by Sasha Cohen

He walked the darkened streets of his mind,
the street lights flickering and the puddles motionless.
There was not a sound save his footsteps and his
jeans brushing across each other as he walked.
He followed the path his heart felt was right,
it's turns through the alleyways and forgotten streets.
"My heart is just a pump," he thought.

And that's when he lost his way.
