Foust

A Poem by Sasha Blavod
"

A poem for a girl cursed

"
Foust They say you're cursed I don't care Your curse is a blessing I would bear If they're wrong If they're right If you can't be mine To hold at night I still will stand By your side Walspurgisnacht To Hallowstide Evenings come My sun doth hide Always here Should you decide I stand alone I stand in pain My sin atone Soul fogged like winter's windowpane Forelorn now Long lost star Foresoon cometh Naught too far Forsooth said Forgotten dead Death's sibling Layeth upon your head A mind so vast A soul so darkened A heart so bold Here I harkened Come't so quick Gone so fast There so short Impressions which everlast Dig up a future Bury'eth a past Wounds I suture Torments unmasked Stitches looser Dressing unpacked Blood runs cold Love runs hot Was mine the one Thoust forgot Still you are my love Foust Even if mines not foresought I will remain by your side To help you untangle This web woven unknow'th This heart you've caught... only you choose to grow'th So know this ...despite what you've taken To me nothing you owe'th Your family curse with Gothe to rest go'th

Author's Note

Sasha Blavod
I'm releasing her of her curse

Your family curse with Gothe to rest go'th
Is a reference to it and since he's dead, well yeah go to rest with him and also go'th = goth
I use multiple meanings a lot
Death's sibling layeth on your head
Her dead sister is always on her mind
But deaths sibling is also pain
So pain is on your mind it means
Walpurgisnacht to Hallowstide
Witches night to Halloween
But also spring to fall
The signifying seasons of birth and life
To the one of death
So in life unto death

It's been a while since I've done poetry
