When I'm Gone

When I'm Gone

A Poem by Sasha

Some people say,

When I'm gone,

Don't cry.

Just continue on,

After I die.

But I would like you to shed a single tear.

Just one tear is enough.

To tell me that it was all real.

To tell me the whole thing wasn't just a bluff.

Let that one tear roll down your cheek.

Let it be the sign that will speak.

That will tell me of your love.

And tell you that I'll always be watching from above...

WriterMe, i'm very glad it touched you, but by the time you read this reply, you will notice that i have commented on one of your works, seems to me like most of your work is poetry. ??

Oh this was so beautiful. Very touching and equally sentimental. You know, I am not much of a poetry person, but this really touched me. Great work =]

I think this is a lovely poem and flows really well. A lot of emotion. The only thing I say is to remember to capitalize your "I".

Well done x

yeah that's a good question: would people still remember us even after we die? this poem really brings that question to light. nice one!
