I Watch

I Watch

A Poem by Sasha

I Watch, as slowly,
This death consumes me.
Inching closer to my grave,
With each new heart beat.

I watch, as slowly,
I get sucked back into life's flow.
No matter how hard i try.
No matter how far i go.

I watch, as slowly,
Everything ever created,
Turns into dust.
And everything new,
Slowly begins to rust.

I watch, as slowly,
People's fortunes begin to turn.
Leaving some in bliss.
Leaving some to burn.

I watch, as slowly,
This world dissolves to rain.
And each moment of happiness,
Brings a moment of pain.

I watch.
I watch.....

its a good poem, i guess instead of watching people should start doing something about it.. This is a sleeping, watching, waiting world we live in..

Sometime we need to reach out and stop time. Watching and waiting leave us wishing for that we did. A excellent poem. Better to out swinging then allowing the world to hold us down.

The transience of life has always been an issue for me. Beautiful take on the subject. Are we ever in control of our fates, no matter how short? I think so.

We just go on and on. living, dying and living again. Its what we do in those few blips of our existence in this universe that matters. Gandhi said, everything we do in our life will be insignificant.. more..
