The Fire Wolf - 2016
A Poem by
SariahM
He has come to heal the hurt.
dancing in the fire,
I see a swirling
form,
dainty legs,
pointed nose...
the fire wolf has come.
How he burns
so brightly,
so alive,
and those bright green
eyes
so shocking in
the night.
He flickers in
the moonlight,
and sets my
soul on fire...
The fire wolf has come.
His pelt,
an auburn
orange,
his eyes, filled
with fire.
he gazes into
the lake,
his reflection bright
against the
night.
His howl so
musical,
in fact the
music of the wild,
his voice lilts,
as he sings:
The fire wolf has come,
to shed light on the dark,
his heat has come,
to warm the cold.
The fire wolf has come,
to mend those broken
hearts,
he has come,
to spread joy and life,
where only death and despair
once lurked.
I am the fire wolf,
i have come to mend,
i have come to heal,
i have come to spread joy!
The Fire Wolf Has Come!
He has come to me,
to heal the pain...
the pain that you
invoked.
THE FIRE WOLF HAS COME!

this is very native American feeling, an appreciation for the animal nature. like the thought though, of a healing wolf, lovely imagery, with the green eyes and all. in a way uplifting though there is heartache there too.

with so much pain, it is good to have a dance around the fire that can be healing...
strong imagery, nice short lines that create the rhythm of the dance.
