Loving You

Loving You

A Poem by Anna
"

This is a poem I wrote about my relationship with my first girlfriend. I thought she was the one but was soon proven wrong.

"

Loving you was my biggest mistake.

You felt the need to take everything away.

From the begging to the end it was set I stone

that what we had was not mutual.

When I told you I loved you

you said “ok”

Slowly my heart crumbled away.

Time and time again I stayed

Only to have my self-worth fade away.

You were my first love and I hoped my last,

but those thoughts soon pasted.

When I thought we could make things work

You turned around and was a jerk.

You made me hate myself,

and for that I put you on the low self.

When we ended things you told me I’d be back,

but confidence in that you lacked

When I walked away

I left and vowed never to look back.
