A StormA Poem by SaraInspired by rain storms everywhere.
There's a storm a brewing
You better batten down the hatches The clouds are filling, and turning an old gray There's a storm a brewing You better get inside The sky is tearing up Ready to let it all out There was a storm a brewing But now it's here The thunder is rolling Kind of like a bowling ball Going down a lightning alley The storm is fading away Into fog and into the flowers Into fields and lakes and rivers Into drains and back home to the clouds The storm is gone now You can open the windows Let the cool, clean air fill your senses Time to put away the board games The storm is gone now All that's left are the memories And the fresh smell that the rain left behind © 2014 Sara |
