After glow

Betrayal leading to new love and life

I was complete, happy
my future,I knew
I was left, betrayed
mapped future, askew
I processed my feelings
Used poetry I wrote
I found myself
I was still afloat
Parts of me returned
I hadn’t known lost
My desire to please
So many bits tossed!
rediscovering me
no longer to mould
Stronger wiser
this new hand I hold
The beauty of finding
New soul to connect
A body to explore
Friends and family met
I will always find happieness
In the moment I’m in
A seed of grattitude
Grows life to win
Without the sadness
The loss, the deceit
I wouldn’t be here
New banquet to eat
