Reaching for peaceA Poem by SwooGaining understanding of peace at the dentists
I walked into your room consumed with my misery
I announced my woes to hear your tragedy My misery is not a patch on the travesty you have faced I sit in that room mouth open wide, disgraced My sadness consolable, passable, healable Your grief palpable, dismal, unforgettable In that moment I realised I am going to heal You are my dentist and your pain is real Your family has lost a child that cannot return Mine a relationship just a lesson to learn I’m sorry that your pain has found me peace When your pain is one with no release Forgive me my dentist for I was full of self You shared your pain and became my help © 2022 SwooReviews
