This life inside of me.

19, drug addict, single and pregnant - time to change! This poem was the beginning of a new and exciting chapter to my life 15 years ago.

My belly is swollen
A baby inside
I have so many problems
And nowhere to hide
I feel so young
Yet so tired
Another day off
Ill get fired!
Im upside down
And inside out
Ill be ok
I mustn't shout
My child inside
Tiny yet complete
Little hands
Little feet
Completely dependant
On no one but me
My child will be loved
For eternity.
