I wrote this about the candlelight vigil held for Sandy Hook victims. I'm very proud of this piece.

Light

The flame of hope has been long burned away
And the air is filled with bitter, dark dismay
We all wish that we could undo
The moments we didn't say "I love you"

Oceans and rivers filled with wasted tears
Haven't seen a smile for oh so many years
People will work through day and night
Just to have something to occupy their minds

This piece has a wonderful sense of musicality and I could see it making a brilliant song. You have a right to be very proud of it, well done!
