Little Worlds

Little Worlds

A Poem by Passionwriter
"

Nothing much just a poem.

"

I’ve never had a friend like you

Not one to fall back on, not one to laugh with like you.

Remember when we used to play our little childish games.

We played in the garden with your bunnies and great dames.

You acted the mother and I the partner in our little worlds.

I wore a bow tie and you wore your mother’s high heels and pearls.

Gee, those moments can be compressed into one big story.

I miss our little world when we used to bask in the glory.

Now, you’ve changed and change is scary.

I haven’t seen you in a while but you act wary.

What happened with out careless ways?

I know that I haven’t seen you for umpteenth days.

But I hate this new you and what you’ve become

I want things to go back and come undone.

Unfortunately that’s not how real life revolves.

This is a mystery that I cannot solve.

Alas I’ve missed out on apart of you life.

I no longer play the husband, you no longer the wife.

So let’s start over again like we first met.

I’ve never had a friend like you nor will I ever.

As long as I’m with you I will love you forever.
