More Than Friends

heh... i like it it's free verse that tells a story ^-^

"just friends"

he promised

walking away slowly

standing there she watched him go

 

Glad she didn't let him know

how much she cared

his timing wasn't right

she told herself

he understands

she whispered

 

but as he walked away

she felt her heart skip a beat

she turned around in time to see

a wild driver coming his way

 

without a second thought

she screamed his name

running with barely the time

to push him out of the way

 

He stands at her hospital bed

watching her sleep

swearing that his heart is hers to keep.
