That Type of Girl

That Type of Girl

A Poem by Sarah Cassaundra Rae

I am the type of girl who will get angry if you don't talk to me everyday.
Walking through the hall ways unnoticed by you.
Your arms around her like she's one and a million.
I'm the girl sitting in class holding on to every word of the lecture.
While she's sitting there soaking up her reflection in the mirror.
I don't care where she goes; spreading rumors like wild fire about anyone who gets under her feet.

One day you are starring at me from across the room.
I look down as soon as our eyes meet and blush.
You have a smile spread across your face.
You continue to look at me as weeks follow.

Two weeks from that One day you approach me.
You ask if I will start the adventure of a lifetime with you.
I ask about her, you look at me.
THERE IS NO TURNING BACK NOW.....
