Your arms, my forever

Your arms, my forever

A Poem by Sarah Giancola

 That light in your eyes,

What keeps me going

Keeps me believing that there’s so much more

Without you I’d be gone somewhere

But there’s nowhere else I’d rather be

Than right there in your arms

Where you hold me so tight my fears escape

In your arms I’m brave enough to take on the world

What intimidates my senses…

Something stronger than me takes over my world

When I’m in your arms, you hold me tight

Show me that it’s ok to cry sometimes

Because even the strongest crack

Even the weakest can win

There’s nowhere I’d rather be than right here, craving you

When my weakness falls

All my sense fail to understand

That method to living

Breathing without you here is like dying again

Without a thought I crave your arms

Your smile that rhymes with sorrow marks my heart

Understanding what’s real, what’s here

One look in your eyes and all is lost.
