Poet's TearsA Poem by SarahRoseI suppose I was crying....yep I was. Ended a 18 year marriage, gabbed a pen and began to draw. Then write. In fact, I wrote most of the night. This poem was just one of many written that night.Poet’s Tears We cry None of us know why The tears fall Like water They flow…freely Each drop portrays a message of a poet’s vision A reflection of its own We cry Each tear…a portrait, a canvas, a message Written there A vision in our stare We don’t question or ask why We cry……. we write what is there in our stare A vision true Even we dare to question the vision there A mirror image of yesterday, today, tomorrow Sometimes written in sorrow We see what others cannot see Our quest ….carries us to a destiny Speaking to humanity Our ink pen ……….is dipped in tears ….in tears Written by: Sharon Brown Pen Name: Sarah Rose © 2011 SarahRoseAuthor's Note
