Red White And Blue

Red White And Blue

A Poem by SarahRose
"

A Poem I wrote about the United States Flag

"

RED WHITE AND BLUE

BLOWS IN THE WIND

SO CALM, SO PEACEFULLY

BEARING STRIPES AND STARS

A SYMBOL OF BATTLE SCARS

WE SEE BATTLES WON AND BATTLES LOST

REMEMBERING THOSE WHO FAUGHT

WE COUNT THE COST

RED WHITE AND BLUE

COLORS TRUE, COLORS HUE

AND WOVEN THERE

IN A FABRIC OF CARE

ARE MEN, WOMEN, AND CHILDREN

BLENDED TOGETHER

STICHED IN FREEDOM AND EQUALITY

BLENDED TOGETHER

OUR SYMBOL OF LIFE, LOVE, AND LIBERTY

ALL WOVEN THERE…IN RED WHITE AND BLUE
