No soul to prove

No soul to prove

A Poem by Sarah McKeever Hitt

Together we can rule the world
heads held high and alive
taken from the Gods
showing our true designs
together.

Beauty will come forth from me
glowing back to you
making you believe
in things like forever, dreams and
beauty

Moments cling to us
like souls holding on to to bodies
left behind at death
praying for a few more
moments

Alone I am not quite as sure
what I will become
if left to my own free will
with no soul to prove to me that I am not
alone.
