Rage

Rage

A Poem by Sarah McKeever Hitt

Straight from the lip

your words

my ears

I couldn't hate you more if I tried

You used me

washed me down

no reluctance

you're selfish without bounds.

Now I am stuck

broke down

worn out

hell bent on hating you.

I blame your mama

soft hands

no rules

You learned nothing from youth

That has become my problem.
