I would chase after you.

I would chase after you.

A Poem by Sarah McKeever Hitt

Love is not pain

romance is not effort

a relationship is not running

and happily ever exists.

But even though my mantra

has turned into that of

"let love chase you"

I would feel less than honest

if I didn't admit

If I have to chase anyone

I am going to chase after you.

You are the one I want

and for you, I would fight

Even with all of principles laid out

I would chase after you

and make a liar out of myself.
