A poetic sort of philosophyA Story by Sarah to PeicesJust something that came to me while riding the bus home todayMy huge bus rumbled along the green rolling hills thawing as the winds breathed the promise of spring into the earth. All around me though, stood, rooted into the earth, deep purple mountains that stretched into the blue sky. Life of the earth, inside the valley of death I thought to myself. And that's where this thought came from. Long ago, maybe when humans were just beginning to understand this process we call life and death, There were two divided people. Different souls. On one side, was death. Death's people were of docile nature. And though their souls were still and cold, they liked feeling numb for maybe they had once known the struggles and pains of a beating heart? The physical pain that claws at our skin and rips at our flesh, or maybe the pain that comes from sadness, or anger Pain that hurts the heart. And as strange as the thought may seem to those of us who do not spend long hours pondering it, they feared life, for with the joys of life, came the many struggles. And death poses no struggles. Then there was Life's people. A people of mythical, cheerful nature. Life is beautiful in every aspect, and the pain of a bleeding heart is worth the hearts happiness. Even if it only lasts but a second. For you see, the prospect of being, forever numb was terrifying. Pain they could deal with. Blackness they could not. And so they live in eternal splendor, while those of death live in eternal safety. Free of the pains of the mortal mind. But you see, this was not to be born. Death longed for knew prey. But not really prey you must understand. But new subjects. As maybe did life. I want to make it clear that in some cases, life is the executioner. Living through hell maybe worse then dying. And lifes people became... spoiled. And death's people once more began to feel pain. But not pain of missing loves or physical wounds. The pain of emptiness. Even for those with no soul this feeling must become maddening would you not agree? And death and life may have stollen souls from one another until one day it may have just driven each of the balances of our world a little to far? And this is were my philosophy comes in. Death, gave Life all whom he ruled. In exchange for they who have never died. LIfe agreeing had one condition. Do not take life until it is ready to be taken. Death may have heard these rules but in his own twisted mind bent them in ways that they would not brake, but in ways that broke lifes heart. And death ruled a world of life. This is our world you must know. Death gave Life all it's people and this is where i get my idea of heaven. For isn't heaven the sweetest place only reached by going through a stage in life so terrifying to so many, that some have gone in search for the fountain of youth? (which my i remind, that in the realm of life rulled by death can not exist. Death would not hear of an immortal in his territory unless a higher authority then himself, death's master, command him to.) And so life would breath new souls into deaths land so he would never go a subjectless king. And in return Life recieved many souls. All excited to live with out pain, but also with everlasting bliss.
maybe I have confused you with this. I am sorry if I did not make it clear. So let me sum it up as best as I can manage. Death rules our world which is only suiting considering that when something dies, life is breathed through it to bring fourth new life. And death, physically of course, is actually a way to true life, in which we feel no pain and live in eternal splendor and happiness. Thank you for reading. I hope you may start to think like me, and then again I hope you do not. © 2009 Sarah to Peices |
