Cocaine DiamondsA Poem by Sarah Lynn
We were flying down the highway
We were dancing on the sun She's got holes in her ears The size of dimes He's got rivers in his arms Flowing with dope We were only sixteen years old We were under the bleachers She's got a mouth full of apologies But the words won't stick He's sighing out clouds of smoke In the summer dusk We were puffing on bones We were inhaling slow sweet death She's got a pocket full of lies And a pen full of lines He's got a new girl on each arm Laced with cocaine diamonds We were the kings of Amsterdam We were the queens of the night She's got a heart pumping hate To the tips of her fingers He's got a brand new excuse To turn up the static I think we were in love once I think we were.... alone and dying. Just like always. © 2011 Sarah LynnReviews
