Keep standing

Keep standing

A Poem by Sarah
"

That's what people always told me to do

"
I will keep standing
Doesn't mean I'm strong
My thoughts are always fading
Been through this for too long

My hands are shaking
My eyes full with tears
I'm so not-caring
I haven't got fears

You've broken my heart
More than just one time
I'm falling apart
But you still think I'm fine

It's too late
I'm icy cold
It's myself that I hate
I could need some hold

I live without real feeling
You never felt the same
For me there's no healing
And only you to blame

Unwanted by everyone
I can hear their teasing
Adored by noone
Does not feel releasing

Every move I do is wrong
That's our society
But no sad song
Can change that morality

Nobody's accepted
Nobody but her
Perfect from toe to head
Can understand that, yeah

Jealousy, pain-I'm empty
But you don't notice, right?
I think I'm turning crazy
Want to join the other side

But I will keep standing
Doesn't mean I'm strong
My thoughts are always fading
Been through this for too long

'Every move I do is wrong .. That's our society .. But no sad song .. Can change that morality'

'Oh dear... here you are again, writing heartbreaking words in such a noble, lovely style, yet you feel so isolated, so inadequate... and believe me, you're not. Thing is, 'life young 'takes some getting used to - the only way of dealing with it is make-believe inner strength from the moment you wake up til you close your eyes night.time - it'll become the norm, quicker than you think. Think of all those things you CAN do. Then, a smile and hello to people makes you open to friendships. You know.. to shake hands or play a game there has to be two involved!

Your poetry has so much style and heart, you use words and phrases like a pro.. keep going, Sarah. Please.

Sorry, this reads like a sermon or lecture, but when i was young, was so shy, introverted, youngest of a large family. But in a way, writing helped me grow up - flourish, mature.. though mind you, some would still call me a big kid! :)
