If only you could see 

I'm not here-I never was 

I wish you could come with me- 

And view the world like I do- 

To grab your hand and show you 

My paradise, my safe haven- 

Along the stars, within the galaxy- 

Stretched out like the rays of time 

To a place old as the universe 

Pressed in the gaps of space-  

There, a girl would twirl, touching the dark with passion- 

Oh how the stars grew brighter at her voice 

When she sang Nyx's lullaby, 

The night would brush through her hair 

As she danced to the Universe 

Spinning through the forest 

Weaving in and out the trees- 

Oh the love the darkness gave her- 

How it passioned over her, 

Gifting her dreams to make her smile-  

Finally he decided to gift her the deepest dream of all-

If only to see her eyes light up in wonder- 

The night lulled her- 

To the spring of infinite, 

Where rippled reflections splashed by moonlight 

Met the abyss  

She could stare like Narcissus  

Deep into the pool, at the life mirroring back- 

Far away from reality- 

Slowly slipping closer-  

If only you could see,  

The vacancy in my eyes 

I am gone- 

Too deep in my mind-  

Drowning in fantasy-   

You'll never see the spring lit by stars- 

Or the metallic waters churning- 

Or the flower on the bank- 

Sprung in the place of a lost girl 

Who ventured too deep-

This is a haunting piece, narrated by a young woman who has apparently migrated to another plane. The reference to Narcissus and the tragic tone of the work make me think this is a description of a descent into madness. As it says, she ventured too deep.
