You clearly defined your freedom. So you can insist:
"If I took a jump,
There would be no one to prevent me,
If I closed my eyes and leaned,
There would be no one to repent me,"
But,I strongly feel that the poets love you.
Despite all of their frustrations and pain these poets come and wait here to read and enjoy your poems.
So live and let other live with poems.

ohhhhh my ... their are thousands more cries of anguish go up when a life falls and their light goes out ... tragedy in we may never realize it ... your poem is brave and necessary .. one of the things we don't want to confront and talk about ... like mental illness ... and death ... suicide isn't necessarily death .. we can commit it every day ... denying ourselves treasures we already own inside ;) understanding the depression that makes high ..... a low bar ...not easy to empathize with the loss of any hope ... one sees ending life as the only option :(((((((((((((((( your poem breaks my heart thinking of all these losses the human race incurs when someone ends their own life :(((((((((((((((((((((((((( love and peace sister ..your message is so powerful i didn't think at all about rhyme rhythm etc. ..

Funny, most people who struggle often turn to reading poetry about death. Oddly, I was the same; I wanted to read what I felt and know I wasn’t alone. So I started turning that suicidal feeling into poetry so hopefully someone like me will read and find what I searched for. Thank you for stopping by, stay safe as well :) my friend

But suicide poems are necessary, if one wants to understand. What it’s like to be at the high of your world. I’m so sorry for your loss, I have never had to experience that... it must be horrific to be left questioning why, and blaming yourself and regretting. Thank you for stopping by...

This is eerily relatable and I can understand the thoughts expressed here. You are a wonderful writer.
As for my thoughts on suicide. I would say if you're feeling this way, talk to someone about it. Life is beautiful, I know it doesn't always seem that way, but trust me, someone to will cry over you. Also, the pain you feel now may leave with time. With pain usually comes some sort of happiness or joy. Hang in there, just try to

Suicide isn’t always such a terrible thing always. There must be a reason so many opt for it. This does indeed feel like a lousy world to be in sometimes. Then the only thing that matters is the people that would be hurt. Well done.

Yeah. A leap into the darkness. How brave- if you think about it.
We live in troubled times and there is a high rate of suicide. In the UK many are young men. They are the ones who find it hardest to talk about their problems. They are the ones who think discussing their problems is a weakness. We all need to watch out for one another and be good listeners. Listening can save lives. This was a tough poem to read Sarah, but yet so well expressed. Writing about it, will help others. I haven't read you for a while. Hope all is OK with you.

Communication is the key bridge in connections and often that bridge includes feelings. Difficulty expressing feeling can cut off a lot of bridges leading one to feel isolated.
Things could be better but in times of extreme emotion come good poetry I suppose. Thank you so much 🙏
Suicide, a hidden demon. I lost two brothers to suicide. No-one knew they were struggling and afraid. Dear Sarah, you poem is strong, honest and realistic thoughts. My brothers suicides taught me to listen, not lecture. Be kind. We never know the place someone is. Thank you for sharing the powerful poetry and your thoughts.

Not sure of your location, but in the USA suicide rates are thru the roof, as well as many other places. There's a growing doom felt by the masses. Many write about suicide and it feels like a dump of ugliness being flung on the page. Hopefully this is helpful for those who need to do this. But my preference is to make art out of such pain, the way you have done. This is one of the most beautiful suicide poems I've read in my 3 yrs here. There's an amazing balance between light & airy, combined with dark & gloomy . . . so that your word crafting sounds like that twisted dose of dread & giddiness that one might feel in such moments (((HUGS))) Fondly, Margie
