These Tears Were Never Mine

These Tears Were Never Mine

A Poem by LazerRays

My eyes may be wet with tears,
But my humor is just as dry,
You can worry and fret about depression,
But these tears were never mine,

I give you a message of the past,
For the present and for the future,
I tie the fantasy and reality,
And hold them like a suture,

Perhaps I am an illusion,
And that's just a divine,
Because I'll have you know
That these tears were never mine,

Agree with dawn, we can't express our all feelings by words, especially I can't (No enrich vocabulary like your's)

Welcome dear 😊😊😊
If words could express how we feel. You have done a detailed, exquisite job in projecting them to us.

Some words touch some more than others depending on their life's path and what they have experienced along the way. If words read find their way along the same path, the reader is affected by them. I really enjoyed your though filled poem.

Thank you so much! I am really grateful for your review :D
I love your message well-conveyed with a slight & growing sense of exasperation. I am unable to dig deep & express things in a raw & blatant way as some writers do. I am a word crafter & I'm OK with that. But I do envy the ones who can pour it out so organically, without manicuring it to death the way I do! *smile* Fondly, Margie

thank you so much!!!! :D im proud of being a word crafter too. :P
I think words have a greater effect on emotions because we read and feel what we want to feel and which had been lacking in our subconscious mind. I do think everything's an illusion though but you know my take on that ;)
But oh, I don't think it really makes you a manipulator of words. You just know the right spots to touch. It's a good thing imo, esp for a writer :D
I like your title choices btw. Interesting write.

Depends on what your intention is. ;)
You're welcome
Words affect emotions and vice versa. This is such a fine poem on the power a writer can wield with their pen, at the same time never letting their readers on about their state of mind. I mentally applaud all the writers through the centuries for creating such magic with nothing but a ball point pen and the musings of their troubled, brilliant, simple yet complex minds. Your verses went down smoothly and the rhyming was great and in place. A happy and assuring read for me. I'll go buy me a fancy new pen and some super quality paper to curl up with!
