If I were a rockstar,
I'd tell you to f**k off.

If I were a rockstar,
I'd pay someone to beat you up.

If I were a rockstar,
I'd pack up and leave.

If I were a rockstar,
I wouldn't be home for the holidays.

If I were a rockstar,
My personal assistant would send cards.

If I were a rockstar,
I'd buy drugs.

If I were a rockstar,
I'd snort line after line.

If I were a rockstar,
I'd laugh as you cry.

If I were a rockstar,
I wouldn't give a f**k

Seems like I'm getting a lot of comments on how rockstars don't behave like this. I for one do not hate on rockstars. I love them. Not gonna lie.
This is a poem that I wrote when I was extremely pissed. And what better person(s) to use than a rockstar(s)?

Well I certainly disagree with the rockstars doing drugs and snorting lines, I can think of more than a dozen true rockstars off the top of my head who never did drugs and many who never even drank.... I don't know about today's "rockstars" though :P lol. This is a well written piece that certainly is full of a lot of emotion and power. Great write.

Third from last line..."your" should be "you". So much for helpful editing. As to content, I understand the angst behind this. But destroying ourselves never "gets even" with the world. Because the big bad world just doesn't care. It does NOT care if you or I live or die. And as for rock stars...Janis Joplin....DEAD...Heroin overdose...Jimi Hendrix...Dead...Heroin Overdose...Stevie Ray Vaughn died in a helicopter crash but nearly killed himself with cocaine and whiskey...he tried to help others avoid it later in his career. Bon Scott...Dead Barbituate and alcohol overdose...Kurt Cobain...dead...overdose of alcohol and barbituates...Jim Morrison...dead...heroin overdose...Shannon Hoon...Dead...Cocaine overdose...I could go on all night but I think I've made my point. It sounds like if you were a rockstar you'd be dead and wouldn't be posting on Writer's Cafe. And that would be sad because I like reading your poems. Blessings of peace, love, hope and light. F.
