A Chapter by sarahjayne

Her face is a blushing crimson and her eyes are laced with confusion, probably confused by the feelings the memory has stirred in her.

"You know, from what you've told me about Aaron, I think he'd want you to have the option of loving again." I say as casually as I can. I don't want to scare her, she seems scared enough as is.

Her honey eyes snap up to my face, "I could never."

"No?" I quirk an eyebrow. "Why not?"

"That would make me feel as though I were betraying Aaron," her wee little arms were crossed over her chest and she looked defiant.

I cleared my throat, "well then, are you willing to be lonely for the rest of your life?"

She stared at me in silence with her doe eyes, and her bee stung lips parted, revealing perfect white teeth, thanks to braces, I would think.
"Are you?" I challenged.

"I don't want to be lonely..." She whispered to herself, twirling the ring on her left hand.

I sit back, satisfied. "No one wants to be lonely, Allyson. No one."
