If I Were To Die Today

If I Were To Die Today

A Poem by Sarah Hobbit

If I were to die today I would be happy

Die knowing that I am loved by an amazing man

treasured and held close by him

though I do not want to see the tears fall down his cheek

Die presuming true that I have been a child who loved her parents

even if I haven’t been and done all I could for them

but that they loved me no matter what

Die aware that I have been a good a friend as I could

that we have all had so many good times and memory’s together

Die believing and hoping I shall see my man,

my parents, my family, my friends

All again some day in the future

A beautifully written sentiment on every form of love and relationships. The structure is very good and the font you chose seems to really add significance to the poem. Two Thumbs Up, Young Lady!

A powerful and beautiful poem. Good to know love of another and family. Give us hope and a wise person is thankful. I like the positive feel of this poem. A very good ending to a outstanding poem.

If only we were sure that we met each one of those thoughts. Fear is a powerful motivator... :)

The most valiant way to die is with no regrets. No "if"s and "maybe"s. Loved it.

That would be a beautiful way to die. Content, happy, in bliss, knowing that you'd done all you wanted to do and loved all you loved and was loved back. This is how I want to die someday.
